What made you choose Baylor over other programs you considered?
The size of Baylor's stats department and the genuine interest that the faculty take in the success of their students were the two main aspects that led me to this program. Initially, Baylor was not even on my radar, but after visiting and talking with some of the students, I realized that the supportive environment and emphasis on collaboration were exactly what I was looking for.
What have you enjoyed most during your time at Baylor?
My favorite experience thus far has been working with the Bayesian network meta-analysis research team. I have enjoyed furthering my knowledge of Bayesian methods and gaining experience in several different coding platforms as well as collaborating with other researchers and faculty members.
What is your current position or project while completing your Ph.D.?
This summer, I am interning at Eli Lilly, working on multivariate equivalence testing for bioassays. I will return to Baylor in the fall to complete my dissertation.
What are your future plans?
I plan to pursue a career in either the pharmaceutical industry or a research hospital.
